My take on Faces Canada Ultime Pro HD Cover Up Concealer:

Packaging

This new Faces Canada concealer comes in an attractive half transparent and black colour plastic bottles. You can easily identify the shade from the outside. And the actual product comes in a black and gold colored cardboard package. The bottle cap is black and the long wand with a sponge applicator is very good in quality and easy to use. The overall outer packaging is very attractive and handy also.

Shades

There is a total of 6 shades available in this Faces Canada Ultime Pro HD Cover Up Concealer range. The shades are –

From that range, I picked up two shades. One is a shade lighter than my skin tone and that is Sand Beige 01. And another is Caramel Crunch 03, one shade darker than my skin tone. The only downside is there is no proper shade for cool tone fair skin.

Application

Apply the product and blend it with a separate concealer brush. Faces Canada Ultime Pro HD Cover Up Concealer easily blends on the skin and does not settle on the crease line. That is very commendable. You can apply it also with Beauty Blender, but the brush gives you more coverage than Beauty Blender.

How I apply it- I am applying the Faces Canada Ultime Pro HD Cover Up Concealer to the desired area and blending it with the PAC concealer brush. But before blending I spritz some setting spray on my face after applying concealer. This technique gives you a flawless finish and makes the makeup last longer.

Coverage

It provides medium to high coverage but not full coverage, but Faces Canada Ultime Pro HD Cover Up Concealer is lightweight and quite pigmented. It won’t hide very dark spots or extreme pigmentation, you need to color correct first and then apply concealer on top.

Staying power

Faces Canada Ultime Pro HD Cover Up Concealer is a water-based concealer. If you set it well with a loose powder or compact, it doesn’t crease. People with heavy under-eye bags or wrinkles may experience creasing. Otherwise, it will stay good for a long time.

Overall Faces Canada Concealer Review:

I picked up two shades from the Faces Canada Ultime Pro HD Cover Up Concealer the first is 01 Sand Beige and the second is 03 Caramel Crunch. Shade 01 is one shade lighter than my skin tone (I have a fair skin tone with a yellow undertone) and has a slight yellow undertone. Which is very effective in brightening the under-eye area. But sometimes I have heavy dark circles, then I use shade 03 to correct my under-eye area and dark spots. Shade 03 is one shade darker than my skin tone which is why it works so well as a color corrector. Then apply the lighter shade to brighten up the under-eye area.

Tips: It is a very good trick to hide your dark circles and dark spots. If you don’t have any colour correctors then you can use one or two shades of darker concealer as colour corrector. After that use one shade of light concealer shade for your skin tone to brighten up the area. Last set it with powder.
