Packaging

When you buy The Derma Co Hyaluronic Sunscreen Aqua Gel in 50g packaging, you get a pump bottle just like Foxtale Mattifying Sunscreen with SPF 70 and PA++++. But I tried their 30gm packaging and it comes with a tube. The packaging is very easy to use and travel-friendly. Still, I think the pump bottle is more easy to use than the tube.

Texture

It has a creamy texture but not thick. It is a water-based mineral sunscreen. The colour of this The Derma Co Hyaluronic Sunscreen Aqua Gel is ultra white.

Derma Co Hyaluronic Sunscreen review

My experience with The Derma Co Hyaluronic Sunscreen Aqua Gel SPF 50 & PA++++

Derma Co Hyaluronic Sunscreen Aqua Gel is thick and has a white and very smooth slippery texture that spreads smoothly. The texture is similar to most hydrating sunscreens. I think the sunscreen is more moisturizing because it contains 1% hyaluronic acid. It feels quite hydrating and has a cooling effect on my dry skin. It gives no white cast and absorbs very easily into the skin. And skin looks dewy and plump. It is a water-based and non-comedogenic (It contains ingredients that will not clog or block skin pores) sunscreen, even oily acne-prone people can use it.

It contains Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Zinc Oxide, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Benzophenone-3, and Titanium Dioxide – which means The Derma Co Hyaluronic Sunscreen Aqua Gel is a hybrid sunscreen and gives us both physical and chemical protection from sun.  Also, this sunscreen had no fragrance but you get a very mild chemical smell when you apply it, but it disappears within a second.

In winter I have dry skin so I need a moisturizer under the 1% Hyaluronic Sunscreen Aqua Gel but in summer I don’t think I need any moisturizer. Because it is quite hydrating. If you have oily skin and if you follow the 3-finger rule for applying sunscreen, it makes it a bit oily. But this sunscreen does not irritate the eyes. Because I applied it all over my face including my eye area.

texture of Derma Co Hyaluronic Sunscreen review

During this entire period of using this sunscreen, I did not skip a single day of sunscreen. The Derma Co Hyaluronic Sunscreen Aqua Gel SPF 50 & PA++++ glides on the skin very easily. Also, it protects the skin from tanning which is commendable. It is not an antiperspirant sunscreen. But I don’t feel any sweat when I’m at home. I don’t usually reapply my sunscreen but if you have a lot of work outdoors, it needs to be reapplied after 4 hours.

This sunscreen falls under 500 INR, applies like a dream, has SPF 50, and provides PA++++ sun protection, gel-cream like texture, non-greasy, and no white cast make it very popular in the market. It can often be found at discounts. If you are looking for an affordable sunscreen for regular use, give this one a try and see how it goes for your skin. But I think extremely oily skin people skip this sunscreen because it is an oil-based sunscreen.
