Now I want to try this onion shampoo in my daily hair care routine. Because onion is a super food for hair. It is rich in sulfur, which provides important nutrients for keratin, which is the building block of hair. And another active ingredient is coconut oil. That is also great for hair moisture. Review of Little Extra Coco Onion Natural Shampoo
Packaging of Little Extra Coco Onion Natural shampoo:
The bottle of the Little Extra Coco Onion Natural Shampoo is white in colour. This shampoo comes in a plastic bottle with pump packaging. I personally love the pump packaging as we got to control the amount of shampoo I need. But the packaging is not traveled friendly, because it is a 300ml huge bottle.
Colour, Texture, and Fragrance of the Little Extra Coco Onion Natural Shampoo:
The shampoo is pearly white in colour and the consistency is runny. The smell is quite nice not like an onion. It has very light That smell stays upto 1day after using this shampoo. Decent foam when properly diluted with water. I love the lather it makes even though it doesn’t contain SLS/SLES.
My actual verdict:
The consistency is neither too thick nor too runny. But I personally prefer to use any shampoo mixed with water and dilute it before applying it to my hair. It helps not to use more shampoo than you need and spread it well on the scalp.
I have used this Little Extra Coco Onion Natural Shampoo on oiled as well as non-oiled hair. On oiled hair, it does not remove the oil effectively in one wash and you need 2-3 washes to remove the oil properly. But it made the hair soft. When used with non-oiled hair it didn’t dry out hair during the wash. Both times I followed it up with the conditioner. After air drying, my hair was softer and much more manageable. It rinses easily without any residue. In fact, the hair itself feels softer when washed.
How Is The Shampoo? Does Little Extra Coco Onion Shampoo Control Hair Fall?
I loved this Little Extra coco onion hair fall control shampoo right after the first wash. This onion shampoo washes off the oil and dirt really well. If you have oily hair, then you may need to wash it twice or would require more shampoo than the required amount. It adds volume to my hair. In my experience, regular use of this shampoo also reduces hair fall. Hair strands that used to come off after every wash gradually decreased.
It adds shine to hair and is safe to use even by people with chemically treated hair. If you are looking for a good, affordable, mild but effective shampoo that will help you with mild hair loss and volume growth then you need to try this. This is the one I’m currently using.

- Adds volume and shine to the hair
- Smells good
- Free from sulfate, silicones, parabens, mineral oil, and dyes
- Washes off oil and dirt, but not very effective at first go
- Doesn’t dry the scalp
Cons:
- Conditioning is essential as it dries out the hair.
- Packaging could be better. Hard to keep on the shelf.
- The price is a bit high
